Golf Tip – Warm up properly. The warm-up period is not a time to work on swing mechanics, as this will only overload you with swing thoughts. Instead, stretch your muscles, move all parts of your body in some form of exercise, and begin hitting wedge shots. Concentrate on hitting solid shots with your wedge and accelerate through the ball. Move up through your bag, hitting about five shots with each club, and finish with your driver. Hit a few chips, pitches, and then putt just before you go to the first tee. You should feel relaxed and ready and not tired or anxious.
