If you’re considering buying a home in Mediterra, understanding the club’s membership structure is just as important as finding the right property.
Mediterra is one of Southwest Florida’s premier private golf communities, offering 2 Tom Fazio-designed championship golf courses, a private Beach Club, an award-winning Sports Club, and an exceptional luxury lifestyle. Because membership is separate from homeownership, buyers should understand the available membership options, associated costs, and upcoming fee changes before making a purchase.
The Mediterra Board recently approved new initiation fees that take effect August 1, 2026.
| Membership | Through July 31 | Beginning August 1 |
|---|---|---|
| Golf | $250,000 | $350,000 |
| Limited Golf | $200,000 | $300,000 |
| Limited Golf Wait List | $175,000 | $225,000 |
| Sports & Beach | $125,000 | $175,000 |
| Lifestyle | $62,500 | $87,500 |

Golf Membership provides unlimited access to Mediterra’s two Tom Fazio championship golf courses, practice facilities, dining, the Sports Club, private Beach Club, tennis, pickleball, fitness amenities, and the club’s full social calendar.
Status: Currently at capacity.
Limited Golf Membership offers extensive golf privileges with certain seasonal restrictions while including access to the club’s other amenities.
This membership category is also currently at capacity.
Prospective members who wish to secure future golf privileges may join the Limited Golf Wait List.
Members must first hold a Sports & Beach Membership to be eligible. The wait list includes a dedicated wait list fee, with additional capital contributions due upon upgrading to Limited Golf based on the club’s joining fee at that time unless otherwise protected under club policy.
Sports & Beach Membership is ideal for residents who want access to Mediterra’s renowned lifestyle amenities without full golf privileges.
Members enjoy:
Lifestyle Membership provides access to many of Mediterra’s social and recreational amenities for owners seeking a more casual club experience.
The Mediterra Board also approved the 2027 operating budget, which includes a 4.75% increase in annual dues across the membership categories.
In addition to initiation fees, buyers should budget for:
Because dues and assessments can change over time, buyers should review the current fee schedule during their due diligence period.
Unlike bundled golf communities, purchasing a home in Mediterra does not automatically include a golf membership. Selecting the right membership category depends on how you plan to use the club, whether immediate golf privileges are important, and your long-term lifestyle goals.
Understanding these options before purchasing can help ensure you choose both the right home and the right membership.
