FOR SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES

During the month of January, Lee County permitting for single-family homes increased.  Overall, Lee County  issued 107 permits. This compares with 85 permits issued in December 2016 according to the Lee County Department of Community Development. In addition, the value of the permits issued for new single family homes is valued at approximately $29.5 million.

Also during January, six multifamily homes valued at about $768,000 were permitted.  Similar to single-family permits, there was a slight increase over last month.  There were 14 permits issued in January 2017 versus 12 units in December 2016.

Similarly, general commercial activity was valued at about $9.6 million for 33 permits.  General commercial permits issued last month were worth $4.1 million.  And the value of permits issued this January are worth approximately $8.8 million.

Finally, Lee County Community Development issued 3,920 permits of all kinds in January.
