Shadow Wood Preserve

Yes, Shadow Wood Preserve homeowners are required to maintain a social membership with Shadow Wood Country Club; however, a golf membership is optional. Buyers who want golf privileges can pursue a golf membership separately, subject to the club’s current membership availability and requirements.

Full Golf members enjoy access to 54 holes of championship golf across three distinct courses. The Preserve Course was designed by Arthur Hills. The North and South Courses were originally designed by Bob Cupp, and are located at Shadow Wood at The Brooks. Together, the three courses offer a variety of playing styles and challenges within one private countyry club.

Shadow Wood at The Brooks and Shadow Wood Preserve are two separate gated residential communities connected through Shadow Wood Country Club. Shadow Wood at The Brooks is the larger community and is home to the club’s North and South golf courses, while Shadow Wood Preserve is a smaller, low-density community located approximately four miles north and surrounds the club’s 18-hole Preserve Course.

Residents of either community may apply for membership at Shadow Wood Country Club, where Full Golf members have access to all 54 holes across the North, South, and Preserve courses. Club membership is separate from homeownership and is not automatically included when purchasing a home in either community.

Yes. Residents have the option to join The Commons Club at The Brooks. Membership provides additional lifestyle amenities, including private beach access on Little Hickory Island, fitness and wellness facilities, dining, and social and enrichment programs.

Residents enjoy a collection of neighborhood amenities, including pickleball, tennis and bocce courts, a community pavilion, walking and biking opportunities, a fishing pier, and community-owned kayaks and canoes with access to Mullock Creek and Estero Bay.

Residents who join Shadow Wood Country Club also enjoy access to club amenities based on their membership category, including dining, racquet sports, social activities, and other facilities at the main Shadow Wood campus at The Brooks. Golf members have access to all 54 holes across the North, South, and Preserve courses.

Shadow Wood Preserve offers a mix of single-family homes, coach homes, and condominiums. With only 293 homesites spread across approximately 440 acres, the community offers a low-density setting surrounded by golf, lakes, preserves, and natural Southwest Florida scenery.
