August Home Sales Report for swflThe latest August Home Sales Report for the week of the 15th showed there were 264 properties sold in Southwest Florida compared to 204 during the prior week. Real Estate activity continues to show higher than normal levels of closed sales and pending sales for this time of year.

Southern Fort Myers  had 97 property sales for the week compared to 89 sales the previous week. Transactions were as follows:  24 percent vacant lots, 22 percent were condos and 53 percent were single family homes. The remaining properties sold were a mobile home commercial unit.

Bonita Springs also had 97 real estate transactions for the week of Aug. 15th which was significantly higher than the week before when there were 68 home sales. Of the 97 real estate sales, 32 percent were condos, 51 percent were single family homes and 13 percent vacant lots. The other Bonita Springs transactions were a commercial unit and mobile homes.

Finally, Estero  came in third with 78 property sales compared to the week of the 15th when there were 47 home sales. Real Estate sales were split between multiple property types. Of the 78 home sales, 24 percent were vacant lots, 23 percent were condos and 37 percent were single family homes. The other Estero transactions were a mobile home, multi-family unit and agricultural lots.

In review, based on the real estate transactions report for the week of August 15th, property sales were broken down by the following types in Southwest Florida: 74 condos, 127 single family homes, 56 vacant lots, 3 mobile homes, 2 multi-family units and 2 commercial properties.
